The protest taking place in front of the United Nations headquarters in Geneva was organized by the International Institute for Rights and Development – Geneva (IRDG).

The participants of the protest exhibition demonstrate posters with the slogans “Armenia, provide information about missing Azerbaijanis!”, “Armenia continues committing war crimes by not giving minefield maps!”, ” Heavy mining of the liberated territories constitutes a serious threat to the life, health and safety of people!”, “Every mine that explodes in the territories liberated from occupation is another Armenian crime!”, “In 30 years Armenia has mined a significant part of these territories. The event was organized on the eve of the plenary discussions at the 51st session of the UN Human Rights Council. The session’s agenda includes environmental and humanitarian problems caused by landmines. The aim is to once again raise awareness of the threat posed by landmines, the enormous humanitarian disaster they cause, the obstacle they pose to the safe return of internally displaced persons to their homes and to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The event is being held from October 3 to 5.
