Georgian, Azerbaijani PMs discuss “high level” of strategic partnership relations

The officials noted the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their countries, the Georgian government administration said, and stressed the ties were based on “unwavering friendship, neighbourly relations and mutual support”.

They also emphasised the importance of high-level visits in the development of relations and highlighted the role of the visit of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev to Georgia last month.

Garibashvili and Asadov also pointed out prospects for further deepening relations between the two countries in the political and humanitarian areas as well as economy, transport, energy and other fields.

Georgian PM invited his colleague to Tbilisi for the session of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, scheduled next month.
