French city authorities on the Natavan Monument

In an interview with AzerTaj, the city hall representative, Christelle Ocler, assured that media reports about alleged plans to demolish the monument to the Azerbaijani poetess are not true.

According to Ocler, the monument was vandalized – it was doused with red liquid and its nose was broken. This is the reason why the city’s services covered the statue with a protective material. He emphasized that the question of dismantling the monument was never discussed.
