Mirziyoyev proposed that Central Asia unite at COP29 in Baku

“The consequences of global climate change are felt in each of our countries. Rising temperatures, melting glaciers, floods, droughts, dust storms, and many other challenges continue to cause serious damage. During the upcoming Climate Summit in Azerbaijan this November, our countries could present a unified position,” Mirziyoyev stated.

He mentioned that this would involve a joint presentation of the region’s environmental situation to draw the attention of the international community, funds, and donor organizations to addressing these pressing issues, including the Aral Sea disaster.
