At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the President of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev, was presented with the modern, lightweight, all-weather, multipurpose JF-17C (Block-III) aircraft with day and night capabilities. These aircraft were developed as part of a joint project between the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation of China.

These jets have already been added to the arsenal of the Azerbaijani Air Force.
