Four years ago, a historic Victory Parade was held in Baku

The parade was attended by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and his wife, Emine Erdoğan.

The Victory Parade, commemorating the great victory in the Patriotic War—Operation “Iron Fist”—was commanded by Lieutenant General Karim Valiyev, Deputy Minister of Defense and recipient of the “Zafar” Order.
