Azerbaijan and EU to Discuss Security Cooperation

The seventh meeting of the Security Dialogue between the European Union and Azerbaijan will take place next week in Baku, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marijana Kujundzic said.

“Next week, another important milestone in our partnership will be reached — Baku will host the 7th EU-Azerbaijan Security Dialogue,” she said on Thursday at an event marking Europe Day.

She also noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Baku and Brussels.

Kujundzic emphasized the importance of launching negotiations in 2026 on a new bilateral agreement on partnership priorities.

“These negotiations will create a modern and ambitious framework for cooperation in clean energy, trade, economic diversification, people-to-people contacts, and other areas,” the diplomat added.
