These five ‘open door’ days in Ganja, Jalilabad and Sheki aimed to increase awareness about the VET centres and to make VET education more attractive for youth in Azerbaijan.

The fifth in the series of events was organised in partnership with the Sheki State Vocational VET centre. Around a hundred participants had an opportunity to learn more about the ongoing modernisation of the VET system, admission procedures, and the facilities and services available in the Sheki VET Centre.

The event was organised as part of the ‘VET for the Future: Development of VET Providers’ Excellence in Azerbaijan’ project, which is funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP in partnership with the State Agency on Vocational Education. The project supports the modernisation of VET institutions in Azerbaijan to deliver competence-based training in order to increase the attractiveness and labour market relevance of VET.
