It is no coincidence that Western politicians and media today are putting pressure on Azerbaijan, calling it to secure LGBT rights. However, a comparison of the LGBT-related facts, based on the 2019 report drafted by ILGA itself, shows that there is no significant difference in terms of LGBT rights in Azerbaijan and many other European countries.
It is no coincidence that the Azerbaijani government has repeatedly stated that it does not recognize the "NKR" as a party to the conflict, stressing that Nagorno-Karabakh has historically been and will be part of Azerbaijan.

Although the collapse of the USSR ended the Cold War, the rivalry between the Western world and Russia, which occasionally reached the point of hostility, is still ongoing. If in 2010-2020, the rivalry in the Middle East was associated with wars, after 2020 the main arena of this rivalry moved to the Central Asian region.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, a religious sect called Stunde began to spread in Germany. It was allegedly founded by Philipp Jakob Spener, who died in 1705. Members of this sect gathered and held religious meetings.
The “Declaration of Independence” of May 28, 1918, which proclaimed the establishment of an independent state in Azerbaijan, stated that Azerbaijan was the first democratic, parliamentary republic in the Turkic and Muslim world, and in the entire East in general. 97,300 km2 of the territory of Azerbaijan were undisputed, and 16,600 km2 were disputed with Armenia and Georgia (Mahmudov, 2004, p. 12).
