American citizens are open to learn about new cultures and civilizations. Average Americans are curious and always willing to learn more about the culture and history of Azerbaijan.

Theoretically, the relative decline of hegemony has contributed to increased nationalist surges, regional crises, global weakening of institutions, and a pursuit of more independent foreign policies by middle powers.

Nikol Pashinyan seems to have learned something from Soviet history. He heard the phrase "non-aggression pact" somewhere and now he proposes to Azerbaijan to sign a "non-aggression pact" instead of a full-fledged peace treaty. Apparently, he himself believes that this trick of his will succeed.

The most obvious example of the notorious policy of France is neocolonialism. Official Paris, forced to give independence to its former colonies, is using all means to keep these territories. This includes such ugly acts as creating conflicts in the territories of those states and deploying troops under the name of "peacekeeping mission."

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) recently took a controversial stance by refusing to ratify the credentials of the Azerbaijani delegation. The decision, made on the opening day of the session, was based on the assertion that Azerbaijan has “not fulfilled major commitments” since its accession to the Council of Europe (CoE) 20 years ago.

The brutal terrorist attack on October 7 of last year by Hamas on Israel has shed a spotlight on the Russian-Iranian military alliance. Ten countries are now dragged into the fighting in the Middle East.

Preparations for the early presidential election in Azerbaijan are being completed: polling stations will open on February 7. Ballot papers are being delivered and voter lists are being updated. This election is of particular importance for Azerbaijan.
