Armenia confirms removal of regional communications clause from peace treaty draft

Azerbaijani President’s special envoy Elchin Amirbayov had earlier indicated that the issue of transport routes, including those connecting Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, would be addressed at a later stage, after the peace treaty is signed.

Armenian MFA spokesperson Ani Badalyan noted that, despite this, the unblocking of routes remains a crucial part of Armenia’s vision and agenda for regional peace and economic development.
