Baku hosts conference on colonialism in Saint-Martin

The Baku Initiative Group is hosting an international conference addressing the situation on the island of Saint Martin, which remains under the colonial rule of France and the Netherlands.

The conference, titled “Colonial Rule of France and the Netherlands in Saint Martin: One Island, One People, One Destiny,” brings together representatives of the Saint Martin people, who are fighting against colonialism and striving for freedom, as well as leaders of organizations engaged in anti-colonial activities, members of parliament, human rights advocates, heads of non-governmental organizations, decolonization experts, and researchers.
