Chinese language to be introduced in Azerbaijani schools

This was announced by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev at the 8th ADA International Education Conference, according to Report.

He emphasized the need to offer competitive salaries to foreign teachers invited to Azerbaijan: “Our system in this regard is quite inflexible. We want to introduce Chinese language instruction in schools. However, a certain number of students per class is required to make this feasible. For example, if we do not reach 270 students, we will not be able to cover a teacher’s salary. We are working to resolve such issues.”
