Military uprising in Armenia? General Khachaturov arrested

According to Armenian media, the general was taken into custody by the National Security Service. The court ordered a preventive measure in the form of arrest.

G. Khachaturov is a representative of the part of the army generals disapproving of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s policies, and the son of the former chief of the Armenian General Staff, pro-Russian General Yuri Khachaturov.

Some Armenian media report that General Grigory Khachaturov is accused of orchestrating a military conspiracy to overthrow Pashinyan’s government.
