OTS: Azerbaijan has strengthened the authority of the Turkic world under Aliyev

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev congratulated President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 28 — Independence Day — and on Eid al-Adha. This was reported by the website of the Azerbaijani head of state.

“The Azerbaijani people established the first democratic republic in the Muslim world, which is a source of pride for the entire Turkic world. During Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States, which began with the 12th OTS Summit on ‘Regional Peace and Security’ held in Gabala last October, the global authority of our organization has grown even further, while our multilateral cooperation has reached a qualitatively new level,” the congratulatory message said.

Omuraliev thanked Aliyev for his contribution to strengthening the OTS and enhancing the organization’s authority in the international arena.

“I am confident that the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is developing steadily under your leadership, will become even stronger. Your Excellency, taking this opportunity, I express my deep respect to you and wish you new success in your highest state activity for the benefit of the Azerbaijani people,” the OTS Secretary General noted.
