Pashinyan: Karabakh Became a Fatal Mistake for Armenia

The Karabakh movement became a fatal mistake for Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during an election campaign event in Kornidzor.

“We were deceived when we were told that we lived poorly because of Karabakh — that was a lie. They knew that the consequences would be severe. Pensions and salaries in Karabakh were high at Armenia’s expense, and those who forget this are freeloaders, renegades and ungrateful people,” he said.

By saying this, Pashinyan effectively acknowledged that it was Yerevan that stood behind the separatist regime that existed in Karabakh.
