Trump nominates Alexander Alden for US ambassador to Azerbaijan

US President Donald Trump has nominated Alexander Alden of Virginia to serve as the country’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, according to Report.

The American leader has submitted a document to the Senate nominating Alden, who represents the state of Virginia, for the post of head of the diplomatic mission in Baku.

Currently, the US diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan is headed by Chargé d’Affaires Amy Carlon. Previously, the post of ambassador was held by Mark Libby.
